One hell of a hockey team, lead by one hell of a player.

And they are the host team next year for the Memorial Cup too. Doubt they can 3pete...but who knows. I think they'll see a serious decline next season with 4 or 5 players expected to go in the Draft, and likely Hall and Fowler not returning

Oh, I miss read. Mississauga got it while looking to be a bottom feeder, and it was discussing WHY Windsor wasn't getting it. My bad.

Hopefully next year will be a better tournament. One game this year worth watching was Hitmen vs Wheaties and the wrong team won. The Spitfires could have mailed in their win.

great program. And because of the "draw" in Windsor, its pissing some other markets off because they are drawing NCAA players previously drafted to other teams whom they refused to show up for. Obviously because of the NHL connections from ownership to coaches...they have that "little extra" that others can't.

.....and they have some real charcter guys. Zack "Cheap Shot" Kassian is in s*&t again.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Windsor Spitfire forward Zack Kassian has been charged with assault in connection with an altercation in Windsor bar early Sunday that left a 20-year-old man bleeding with a chipped tooth.

Kassian, a 19-year-old Windsor native, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on Sunday at The Beach Sports Bar and Grill. He was later released.

A right-winger with the Memorial Cup champion Spitfires, Kassian was a first-round draft pick by the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres.

The six-foot-three, 215-pound forward, who was acquired in a trade with Peterborough in January, was given a 20-game suspension by the Ontario Hockey League for his hit to the head against Barrie Colts player Matt Kennedy. The incident happened in Kassian’s debut with his new club.

In 2009, he was suspended for a game as captain of the Peterborough Petes for breaking curfew.

In the five games Kassian played with the Spitfires this season, he scored four goals.

He and Patrice Cormier should be cleaning dressing rooms in some beer league.
